The Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab has been at the heart of our business since our inception in 1982. Our reputation for processing consistent and quality products with the Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab is still present today.

 Fresh Crab Meat Production

We process Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs at our HACCP & VDSS certified crab processing facility. The process / picking process is monitored under stringent facility management that ensures a quality product. Our quality handpicked crabmeat is monitored very closely to minimize shell content. In additional to the quality handpicking all of our crabmeat goes under a black light process to help enhance the quality of the product. Our crabmeat product is selected into the following grades:  

 

  • Jumbo Lump
  • Backfin Lump
  • Special
  • Claw

We have various packaging options that include: 8 & 16 oz cups (fresh only), 1lb bag frozen , 5lb bag frozen.

 Pasteurization of Blue Crab Meat

Our state of the art pasteurization facility allows us to be in complete control of the pasteurization process. 

 

Pasteurized crabmeat is an excellent alternative to fresh crabmeat. Depending on a customer’s particular needs, pasteurized crabmeat can be used in most applications that require fresh crabmeat.
