FRESH CRAB MEAT PRODUCTION
We process Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs at our own certified crab processing facility. The picking process is monitored under stringent facility management that ensures a consistent quality product. Our quality handpicked crab meat is monitored very closely to minimize shell content. In addition to the quality handpicking all of our crab meat goes under a black light process to help enhance the quality of the product. Our crab meat product is selected into the following grades:
- Jumbo Lump
- Backfin Lump
- Special
- Claw
We have various packaging options that include: 8 & 16 oz cups (fresh only), 1lb bag frozen , 5lb bag frozen.
Our state of the art pasteurization facility allows us to be in complete control of the pasteurization process.
Pasteurized crabmeat is an excellent alternative to fresh crabmeat. Depending on a customer’s particular needs, pasteurized crabmeat can be used in most applications that require fresh crabmeat.
